Hi i have had two baby res turtles for about three weeks. On is very active and eats any and everything i give it. the other however does not eat, and seems to just hide in a corner all the time. I have tried putting it in a separate container for feeding and left it alone in there with food for over and hour on several occasions and it still wont eat. I also have tried a variety of food. is this normal? is there anything i can do differently? the water temp is normal as well as the basking area, it seems like the turtle never basks either. thanks for your help.

I would separate them. The one that is not eating probably is a bit stressed in it's new home. I would keep it away from a lot of foot traffic and handling kept to a strict minimum. Keep your distance and feed it in it's tank.

I would consider the smelly foods (canned tuna) as well as live prey (hold it by the tail and let your RES "catch" it).
