just a quick survey --

for those on the boards who do this regularly for feeding your RES, what sort of "container" do you use?

im finding a growing algae problem (no pun intended) that im looking to remedy and i think keeping as much food scraps as possible out of the tank should be a big improvement :]

I just place my turtles in a plastic bucket then dump the water when they are done.

I use a small food container big enough for the turtles to turn around in. It can
hold enough water for the turtles to swallow food. Afterwards, I dump the water.

I was thinking about picking up a larger sized food container since I could store it with all the others.

Thanks for the 2 suggestions so far!

I use tubberware, I put warm water up to the turtles neck, and then I drop the food in, whether it's a pellet or a minnow.

I find that they poop not too long after eating, so I'll leave him in there for a few minutes to see what happens. I'd say about 50% of the time they poo about 10 minutes after eating. If they dont, I just put him back in the tank and rinse out the tubberware.
