Would it be ok for a turte to eat bamboo? I've seen some @ the petstore and it's pretty in the tank.

Ok, is it real bamboo? Or those "lucky bamboo" shoots? Lucky bamboo you can usually find in the floral departments of grocery stores, or big box stores like wal-mart, and occasionally I've seen them in those betta vases. Lucky bamboo isn't actually bamboo, but a type of lily, and is poisonous.

True bamboo, I'm not sure about it, but I don't think true bamboo would grow in the tank anyhow.

True bamboo, that the pandas eat, well, it's very sensitive, so, if you could actually get true bamboo to grow in your tank, I wouldn't expect it to survive through all of the turtle waste.

I would really love to grow some bamboo someday, indoors, but I don't think I'd have the patience...
