Posted: Thu Jul 16, 2009 11:01 pmI am not too sure how much greens squirt was given in his previous 'homes'. He took a while to get used to lettuce, but he gobbles it up now. The only part of the Romaine lettuce he leaves is the thick white area in the middle of the leaf.
He goes nuts at feeding time. It's even funnier now that with his water deeper he can't stand on the bottom to beg for food. He does this funny treading water thing.

Posted: Fri Jul 17, 2009 10:49 amI think Hurricane's favorite is blueberry skin/casing. Typhoon's got a close tie between blueberry insides/seeds, lettuce, and carrots. Ty is so funny, she grabs her piece of lettuce, and swims around with it forever before she eats it.

Sometimes she eats cooked chicken.
But, I cannot get her to eat any greens, veggies or fruits.
Will this be an issue as she gets older? Will her tastes change? Should I keep trying to give her greens and the like?
Any suggestions?

Posted: Wed Aug 12, 2009 5:21 pmMostly strawberries, even my soft shell will take a strawberry before meat, but earth worms would be the runner up around here. Mostly they'll eat whatever we give them though, I haven't run into a picky eater yet.

Posted: Fri Aug 14, 2009 10:29 pmbrine shrimp and repto sticks, and watching him chase feeders/goldfish/minnows is soooooo fun. Especially in the deep part of the pond. Havent gotten them to like veggies yet, tried carrots and lettuce but no luck
