Feeding and Nutrition :: Fish food healthy?

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

I keep guppies in my tank with Kobi but whenever I try to feed them, Kobi just bullies them out of the way and steals all the food.
How does fish food compare to turtle food in a turtles diet? Should I just let him eat the fish food or should I remove him while I feed the fish?

I usually don't feed the fish in my RES tank; they just pick on the scraps that the turtles don't get to.

Every once in a while though, I'll take a small pinch of flakes and crush them up and drop them in at the waterfall to push them underwater so the minnows can get at them.

I do give my Cichlid's pellets to my turtles as treats, usually a tiny bit once per month and that's about it :)

I feed my fish just like elwray. The waterfall pushes the flakes under, and that makes it much harder for Sam (My turtle) to eat them. If they just float on top, he muches them right up.
