Can I give my turtles a squid? I know squid contained protein same like shrimp and krill.

I just read through one website, www.turtlehospital.org they give squid to a sea turtle which suffer from intestinal impaction to clear the stomach and give back them appetite to eat.

So I just wonder, maybe once a month I give my turtle a squid- the white one (in small portion) to clean their intestinal? Can I do dat?

Just need an opinion and advices  what ya'll say? think?

Salt water turtles and fresh water turtles encounter very different types of food in their natural habitats. Do not feed your RES squid.

Sometimes you'll see on this forum that people don't like to feed RES shrimp and krill, and once or twice a week, depending on age and size, it's okay to give it to them. My turtles are very strong and muscular because of the protein they get, they are very active and playful.
