Feeding and Nutrition :: Only eat Veggies when mad at me??

My turtle will only eat their veggies is when they get literally mad at me. If my turtle is begging and I don't respond to them, they will take a bite of lettuce, greens, etc.....and with real bad attitude while doing it too!!!

I think that it is so very funny....How does everyone else get them to "eat their veggies"???

When you're first starting out, it can be hard. Mikey eats his willingly now. He devours everything I put in his tank.

I feed the veggies in the evenings, rather than the mornings. I figure by then, if she's getting hungry, she'll eat anything I put in there. But like Christi, my turtle literally eats anything that's in there anymore. She's like a garbage disposal!

Lolz..not like my RES tortz,they are very childish like a kid..i tried several foods such as vege(gosh,they hate it so much)..and i tried spagetty noodle(the smallest loves it,but the 3's hate it)..ive tried the cheapest foods for them to eat it but they r too choosy..like owner like pet.lolz.i tink they do follow my negative sides.last week,ive tried strawberry and cherry..and they seems to enjoy it so much.man,strawberries r too xpensive in here..i tried to change it but they seems to refuse all the foods i gave to them..im so speechless and i dont even kno wat to do to them,they dont like their own foods,they love boiled chicken,cherries,strawberries,carrots,fishballs,cakes,cheese,and chips

Izahhelenna - wow.. your turtles eat cakes? cheese and chips? huhu..

I started to give my babies vegies when they about 3 months old.. now they like to eat lettuce and will finish it less than 15 minutes even if I put the big leaves.. hoho.. loves to see them biting the lettuce.. nyum nyum...

izahhelenna. You REALLY REALLY should not be feeding your turtles garbage like cakes, cheese, and chips. It is extremely unhealthy for them.

Lol..im really wanna to c them to eat Vege at least but they r so choosy,so any help perhaps to entice them to eat on vege?
