I tried making some a couple months ago and it failed miserably, I think I added way to much gelatin, and the calcium powder I added kept floating to the top in stead of blending in. : / I wasted a bunch of ingredients, So for now I'm sticking to whole foods, pellets, SFBB frozen food till I can find out how to do it right.

dumbork's poop is runny today (first day of jello shots). before, his poop is firm and long, now it's all over the place. could it be the vegetables? am i using too much? how about the gelatin?

also, i noticed that he's passing gas, because there are bubbles for 5 seconds, before i saw him poop.

what could be the problem?

help please!

How much did you give him?

just half a cube.i couldn't give him the whole cube because i want to experiment first. i didn't give him any this morning (just gave him 3 pellets and cuttlebone hoping that he will have a more firm stool), but his stool is still runny.

Nothing specifically (not my area of expertise) but pellets should do it.

I think that depends on the ingredients you use.

I am definitely going to have to try this. With how my turtles eat, they spread stuff EVERYWHERE and this should help mitigate that issue.

So I decided to go ahead and make a batch of these. At first i was hesitant to make these because I was worried that they would make too much of a mess in the tank and that my Fluval 406 wouldnt be able to keep it clean with all the debris and water cloudiness I had been hearing about from other people. But to my great delight Franklin just LOVES THEM and the filter seems to be doing a pretty good job of keeping the tank clean.

PICS!
