so i going to try to feed my turtle today which i have named remy. i am going to give him reptomin pellets, turnip greens, yellow squash, a bit of strawberry, and if i can a phoenix worm or two. in case you sont know phoenix worms are small soft bodied worms that are packed full of calcium. i thought they would be good because the previous owner probably didnt provide calcium or protein and since they didnt a phoenix worm would be great. especially since i dont have cuttle bone. or i can just dust the pellets with calcium powder.

also, can they eat blackberries or raspberries?
can i feed him in a plastic container? do i have to feed him pellets in the water, or anything else? thanks!

Not sure about the phoenix worms or berries, but you can feed them in a separate container. Turtles can't swallow food without water, so there should be maybe three inches of water in there.

oh really? wow i didnt know that. well, its ok though, all he wanted to do was get out of the box. ive had him less than a week, im not surprised.

boy, on a different subject, my bearded dragon eats really well. he knows when its feeding time, and hes not afraid of me. he runs up as soon as i open the cage and stuffs his face  he was almost out of the cage lol. my leopard geckos are good eaters too, im especially impressed with my baby, he eats a lot, he should grow fast. but enough about them, this is a turtle forum.
