Bananas are too high in sugar to be a once a week food. More like once a month.

I'd exchange the bananas for carrots to provide Vitamin A.

Agreed.

And more variety in what you feed as veggies wouldn't hurt at all.

Yes, more variety. Go for something like:

M/W/F - Leafy lettuce, whatever's on hand that's Red Leaf, Green Leaf, Dandelion
Sa - Some fruit - Week 1: Blueberries, Week 2: Banana, Week 3: Strawberry, Week 4: Apple (and so on)
Su/Tu/Th - Pellets
JAX
- - -
Baby Boy - January 9th, 2011! (3 months old)
1 RES - 7" long - Umi (3.5 years old)
1 black lab/hound mix - Josie (1.5 year old)
2 cats - Mysti and Molly (6.5 years old)

@ ComputerGremlin: But don't you think that's too much fruit?

Bananas are really high in phosphorus, and an imbalance of phosphorus in the system can interfer with calcium absorption.

You can (and should) offer some veggies (esp. leafy greens) even on days when you give pellets.
