Rosy reds are good feeder fish. They aren't very fatty and are cheap.

You don't want to feed goldfish because they are too fatty. You want to avoid most tropical fish like catfish and loaches because they have sharp barbs that can hurt a turtle. I'd also avoid plecos because they have pretty hard bodies.

Guppies are pretty expensive for feeder fish. I don't think there's anything wrong with them though.

Guppies and Rosey reds are great feeders for turtles.

Feeder guppies are $.10 a fish here with Rosey Reds being $.11-.12 a fish.

Guppies and minnows are supposed to be fine for them.
