Can someone give me tip on what to use for homeade turtle food. I need calcuim but no cuttlebone calcuim dusting or calucim blocks. I want it to taste good too. Any ideas? I need help.

Why do you want to make homemade turtle food? And are you talking about a substitute for pellets? Pellets are really good for reasons more than just protein/fiber/vitamin supplements, and they are inexpensive. I don't know why you would want to make your own. You risk too much by feeding them yourself. However, if you are still on this path, they make turtle vitamins that you can give. But pellets/treats/cuttlebone are a tried and true method.

Here's a really cool one I've found on another forum:

It's sort of a jello-like thing, with veggies, pellets, and cuttlebone in it :D

I once made my own for a very fussy RES and as main ingredients used gelatin, veggies, river trout (so expensive) and calcium supplement. I froze it in small ice cube trays and would thaw out what I needed.

But it was quite time-consuming. Why would you want to make it rather than getting some good quality pellets?

And how would you know it tastes good???? Are you going to taste-test it? :D
