I'm not really sure if brocolli is good for my turtles.... I ran out of other veggies and thats all I got. I'm going to the supermarket on Sunday but for now?

Broccoli is on the "Not Recommended" list on the main site. A small bit shouldn't hurt, but I think your turts can hold out without having veggies for a day or two.

Ooh i missed that one! I wonder why it's on there, from what i could find online it doesn't have a high level of oxalic acid and the calcium:phosphorous ration is a tad low but not more so than a lot of other veggies which are fine to be fed occasionally. Anybody know what's in broccoli that's bad?

It comes from the same family as cabbage (brassica) and has goitrogenic properties (too much/an imbalance can inhibit thyroid function). But a little bit shouldn't hurt if the turtle is healthy.
