Feeding and Nutrition :: Going away for 2 wks ...

and we got an automatic feeder. The feeder on it's lowest setting is giving 10 pellets a day. Without the feeder we give our turtle 5 pellets. Is this increase bad for just two weeks. I don't want out turtle to have problems while we are away and I don't want him to be overfed either.
He is 3 or 4 years old and 4" long.
Not sure if 10 pellets a day will kill him. ?

I have a little feeder I got a pet smart for fish food that would probably feed significantly less pellets. You may want to return the one you got for a smaller unit.

every 3 days but we wanted the feeder to feed him but after reading that... I'm not sure now. How many days can a turtle go without eating? I thought the automatic feeder was a good idea, now I'm not too sure. My grandmother was going to feed him red lettuce also while we are gone.
