How much do you feed your RES? they should only eat about as many pellets that will fit in there head once a day. You can feed your RES once or split it up, doesn't matter. They can eat lots of other leafy greens and some other veggies. you can read more in the feeding and nutrition section about which ones are good to eat.

What kind of pellets are you feeding her and how big is she? Can you post pictures as to why you think she's getting fat?

I your turtle is an adult you can and should feed him everyother day. Adult size would be about 4 inches in size if he is healthy. I know they are the best beggars but you have to not give in.

When a turtle is fat he/she has trouble getting everything retracted into his/her shell because it won't fit. When he/she pulls his arms and legs and head in, turtle flesh bulges out.
