Ok, in my own defense, Rosies have lasted 4-6 months everytime that I have put them in the turtle tank in the past. I buy 2 dozen and they slowly disappear over a long period. I put 2 dozen in with the kids, and the next day there were 2. The next day 1. I have a single Rosie that made it through for a week. Yikes! I guess I'll be getting 6 at a time from now on.

Seriously, those must have been some extra tasty rosies. Or maybe they were just slow. Spot wants to know where you got them.

scrip_gan -- Don’t over do it, with to many fish. They will do okay, but I will suggest veggies and Reptomine pellets and calcium block every other week to fill out their diet.

I swear I do feed them! They get a tasty mix of Mazuri, cuttlebone bits, and Reptomin every other day, and aquatic plants and veggies daily! I liked having the Rosies in there because they help keep the tank clean, and they give the kids some distraction and exercise. But then hte also lasted for at least 6 months in the past, so I knew that they were only having sushi once in awhile. Sigh. No more little cleaners.

I would endlessly hear thumps and bumps in the tank if there were fish in my tank. Could be Sparky and Spike have perfected their trade. Perhaps you can add more hiding spots? Maybe smaller, nimbler guppies?

i know as of right now gaia can go through a dozen gold fish in a matter of a few mins. i know they r not great for her but when i accually own her she will have a much better diet.
