It might be spoiled from the HBH turtle bites. If they're what i'm thinking they are, they're more of a "junk food" treat than a complete food. Just don't give the turtle any more treats, eventually it will get hungry enough to eat the good food.

Are you saying that now your turtle won't eat either the Nutrafin or the HBH Turtle pellets? Do you think new pellets are too large? Can you break them into little bite sized pieces? Most turtles prefer to eat the bite sized pieces rather than have to chew on big pieces.

Your turtle may simply not like the pellets. Turtles do have their preferences. Mine, for instance, will eat Reptomin and Mazuri pellets but not Monster or Zoo Med Aquatic Turtle pellets.

By the way, I've never heard of a healthy turtle refusing Reptomin pellets (unless they've been conditioned to a diet of super rich foods like shrimp or tuna, which they have to be weaned off of). Most love them. If your turtle is small, you might try the Reptomin Baby pellets. They are right-sized for little turtles and nuitritionally good too.

My res loves her HBH Turtle bites. Keep giving the nurtafin they usually come around to eating just about anything. It may go a few days without eating but it will probably give into them.

Try a different brand of pellets, like someone suggested, Reptomin. I feed my turtle two different pellets (the composition of both are significantly different, so I think it's more well balanced) and he always eats the one first (I think they taste better) and then goes after the Reptomin. There are so many out there, just try another brand before worrying.
