hola, i have a fish and the turtle in seperate tanks. the other day, going back and forth between tanks, i decided to see if the turtle wanted to eat an orange flake of goldfish food. and he did. he was all over it. so, is that like a treat? is it like food? can i subsititute food? or add to it ? or just stop it?

I don't think its necessary to be giving your turtle fish flakes. Just keep on the pellets, veggies, and all the other things that turtles are supposed to be eating.

I suppliment mine's with koi pellets. I get big bags for ten bucks and they last a year.

Definately don't substitute goldfish food for proper turtle pellets, but I suppose it couldn't hurt as a rare treat. However, I suspect that the fish food will make more of a mess then it's worth, since it easily disintegrates and would probably just foul up the filter and water quickly.
