Feeding guppy??

Yesterday I fed Tortarita her first guppy in her life, it was scary to say the least!! Tortarita has always been placid and calm never agreessive or crazy. But as soon as I placed the guppy in the water, she got close up to it sniffed it. Drew her front legs into her shell, and with her back legs swam up to it.... Bit the tail, breaking eating half the fin then attacking the other half. Th guppy could do no more, then in one gulp she ate the guppy!!!   I was frightened!! My Tortarita is an animal, all I feel like doing is singing "Wild Thing..." LOL

But how often could I feed her guppies?? To me it seemes as guppies should be rare treats. But could I feed more regularly??? :)

It should be a rare treat and I don't offer live prey on a regular basis (maybe twice a year). When my male RES would only eat live prey, he would often strike the head first, then take his time to finish the rest

Some people here feed it once a week, some once a month... it's up to you how often you want to use it.

I have a small group of guppies living in with my turtles...after awhile they are oblivious to them. I used to breed them as well, and when I would add new ones, they would go right after them. It was wierd, lol.
