Well, romaine lettuce, carrots, any other assortment of vegetables. Cuttlebone for calcium. Definitely read over this section of the site: http://www.redearslider.com/index_nutrition.html

Aquatic plants, i choose them over lettuce, since they are said to have more nutrition, anacharis, horn wort are what I use with my turtles. I just leave some in their tanks and they eat it little by little, and it even helps keep the water cleaner too. You can purchase them at pet stores, they arent expensive.

You will still need other greens though, i like to use - endives, raddichio, red/green/romaine lettuce, basil, kale, collard greens, dandelion leaves, culantro/cilantro. It's good to mix up the veggies, you dont have to offer all of that in one feeding, feed something different atleast every other day.

A good vitamin supplement like Reptivite is okay too, but not neccesary.

You should offer roughly one to two feeder fish every two weeks, if your turtle cant catch it you might want to kill it before you give it to it. You can also use crickets, worms, cockroaches, and snails. Feeders should not be wild caught. Use only farm raised feeders.

Like Threepwood. Also, leaf lettuce (not iceburg - it's worthless).

Water plants are great - like anacharis. They'll just live in the tank until the turtle feels like eathing them. they won't spoil like the lettuce does.

An occasional blueberry or slice of strawberry or cantelope.

Feeder fish like minnows or guppies once in a while, if you and your turtle agree this would be good.

Freeze dried, gut-loaded crickets are good for an occasional treat.

Turtles like human fingers but it's kind of tough on the humans.
