My turtle has tried Zoomed pellets, Monster and Reptomin floating pellets and the unanimous choice of my turtle is.....Reptomin. He loves those floating pellets, and he's pretty picky.

I stick with Mazuri, all mine eat them even the tiny hatchlings if I soak them first. I can't find it in stores but if you go to PurinaMills.com you can order from 1 pound up to 25 pounds delivered to your house. I got the 25 pound of tort pellets from them for $32 and the aquatic turtle pellets in the 25 pound bag for $47 that's a good deal when the 1 pound can was $10 at the stores!! I seal-a-meal bag them to get the air out and make them last a long time.

I would suggest Monster Diet, because it provides MAXIMUM growth for your RES.

From their website...

Feeding Directions:
Aquatic Turtle Monster Diet™ should be offered daily. Feed no more than what your turtles can eat in 20-30 mins. All uneaten food should be removed daily. Always make all diet changes gradually over the course of several days. Fish, fruits, and vegetables may be offered as an occasional treat but should constitute only a minor portion of the diet. Fresh clean water should be available at all times.

That they say to offer vegetables as an occasional treat to an animal that will become mostly omnivorous makes me wonder. Not to mention, I bet my turtles would eat quite a bit in 30 minutes if I would let them. They would turn into over weight and unhealthy fat turtles that couldn't get back into their shells, not to mention I'd be concerned with pyramiding.

If I let my guys eat as much as they wanted for 30 min. they'd turn into little meatballs with a shell.

MAXIMUM growth isn't what you want..... :? you want a balanced and complete diet, i suggest looking at the stickys at the top of the page, it is simply not healthy to give the turtles that much food, they could get obese and have shell problems and put stress on their organs

I spoke too soon. :( I ordered from the company, and sigh, here's the email I got back.
Hello,

This is a courtesy email to inform you that we are currently out of stock of "Mazuri Water Turtle Diet, 8 OZ" This product we have had on back order from the manufacture for over 2 months now. What they tell us is that they have an extruder machine that is down and it takes months to get parts to fix it because the parts are manufactured overseas. We apologize that we cannot give you a definitive date as to when we will have it back in stock again. Please let us know if you would like to choose a different type of food. Thank you for your business.

Thank you for your time,

I wonder if this is why Petsmart gave up on the product...
