Back to the basking area options. Some people choose to use corkboard for their turtles. The cut it to fit in the tank and wedge it in. I believe it has to be soaked first or it can color your water. Just another option if you don't want to go with a dock. I have a large dock and it supports two 4 inch turtles.

Sounds like a plan!! Thanks...

What's your opinion about larger rocks to support the hollow log?

I would say it depends on the size of the rocks and how they are piled. If there is a chance that the rocks could shift and injure your turtle, then I wouldn't do it. I have heard of people using aquarium safe glue to secure the rocks. You have be sure that the glue is completely covered though, or they will probably try to eat it.

He sounds a little finicky haha. I would try removing the other two and letting him eat on his own. I'd bet he'd be too timid to eat in a different tank but he may eat where he feels comfy especially if the food smells like yummy tuna. When I first had my hatchling I had to mix his pellets in with shrimp pellets so he'd be attracted to them.

I do that too. I sometimes mix krill with the pellets and my little buddy won't eat. I'm going to try the tuna.

Krill is a rare treat just remember that. I sometimes throw in dried shrimp if they are being picky about pellets. I'm going to try to leave about 5 pellots in the Krill container and then try feeding that.
