Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

I feed mine every other day and have no problem leaving them over the weekend. Most pellets are balanced with vitamins and are good. I find them a little short on calcium and make up for that with a calcium block -cuttle bone-
I add veggies and a frozen fish every few days.

i've been offering salmon and tuna soaked pellets. he bites then spits it out, and leaves the pellets floating. it creates quite a mess. i think i'm about to stop feeding him, i've even gone to the length of covering up his tank with a black scarf to block my view of him begging (he still gets his UVB light and i got a new heater so he should be fine)

Sorry - you don't mean completely stop feeding him, I assume? If you offer him a few tuna soaked pellets a day. he may refuse them for a few days then he'll get hungry and start eating again, then you can gradually wean him off the tuna or salmon juice.

What about the container? Is he still in the 6 gallon container? What's the water temp? If the water is too cool, that will kill a turtle's appetite. For a small turtle (under 4"), you should keep the water temp at least at 75 degrees, preferably in the upper 70's.

The water's at a constant 78 degrees, and yes still in his 6 gallon tank ;-; but i can't get anything bigger in my dorm, as i said i'll be moving turtle to his tank at home which is more than big enough. and OMG as of right now he's eating his pellets, without being soaked!! and i haven't even soaked them, i just changed the brand of pellets. He is eating Repto Min baby pellets, over the Nutrafin max that i had originally tried to feed him.

Er-418 -- Meat and pellets are high in proteins and I would mix in some veggies then go back to pellets. Pellets are a little short of calcium and you need to consider some calcium blocks.

Reptomin brand pellets are prefered by a lot of turtles. My turtle loves reptomin and also mazuri - another top brand. He turned up his nose at monster and (I believe it was) zoo med brand pellets.
