Sounds like Tito is getting spoiled. Now when you don't give him pellets whenever he wants, he'll bite you!

Are you still offering him veggies?

ooh sounds like he's getting over-enthusiastic then...lol! :D

Oh so he IS actually eating his veggies! I assumed he was a full-fledged carnivore!

No hes chomping on some anarcharis as i type this
He really likes it, but has a hard time in breaking it apart

Ya i tihnk you are right

Maybe if i try and feed him small portions throughout the day
To make him feel like hes eating alot

 Just a suggestion...

Try to handle more your baby RES it will stop the biting of your fingers...
That's what i did and stopped that habit.(at first they were also biting me  probably for defence not hunger. After picking them and "play" with them more often, they stopped and they r also not afraid of me :P.)

My husband's the same way, the turtle is always begging him, but we don't give in. With me, he doesn't seem to beg at all. I don't know why. I'd suggest going over to the tank a bunch of times each day, just walk over and check on him, and leave without feeding him. Eventually he'll get used to you not existing solely for his feeding pleasure! (I think that's why my turtle associates my husband with only feeding, cuz I go in there a lot and just check on him and watch him, my husband only really goes in there to feed him.)

This is a pretty old thread and some of the people aren't active on the forum these days. I'm gong to lock it so the discussion doesn't get too confusing, although the photos on the first page are very instructive.
