Well i wouldn't hurt... but you can't ONLY feed your turtle betta food. When I feed my Serra I feed her Reptomin mixed with some fishflake food ( the colour enhancing kind)

I think I read somewhere that fish flakes/dog food that some keepers reccomend actually do more harm than good. I would stick best to food made for turtles..try reptomin, or jurassi diet.

Should I stop Serra from eating the fish flakes then?? because when I feed the fish she eats some of it... I checked the protein amount and also the ingredients, and its pretty much the same as the Reptomin

That's up to you. Some keepers feed their turtles algea waffers and swear it's realy good for turtles, and some feed chicild sticks, and if you offer it, i personally believe it shouldnt be a staple (something you feed every other day). But I personally wouldnt offer it, and if I would, very rarely. But thats just me.

If your using the color enhancing flakes to brighten her color, i believe that it realy doesnt work, or so i've heard.

Yea I don't feed her fish food very often...

It doesn't work? I've noticed more contrast between her colours recently...her stripes look neon against her dark skin now! lol

I don't think it would hurt I just wouldn't make it a staple in their diet. I occassionally (like once a month) feed my turts a small piece of this natural dog food from Cutter's Mill (all natural pet store) since my Cheech eats it. It's a mix of veggies and chicken without preservatives, additives, or flavoring in a soft food form. They LOVE it the little oinkers.

My Spot's colors have gotten brighter - especially the yellow parts of this shell, which are almost orange. I think it's due to the Mazuri he's been getting lately.
