Are apples considered to be given daily or as a treat.My turtles love them they make barley a mess :)

Only as a treat as they are rather high in sugar. I give mine an occasional apple peal, which he thinks is great. The peal would have more vitamins and fiber and less sugar, so might be the best part to give them once a month or so as a treat.

I feed apples to my guys every now and then (usually once a month max) they love it as well :)

My RES and one Painted will eat apples, the rest of my turtles won't touch them. I give slivers with the peel on them.
