Feeding and Nutrition :: how do you store Anacharis ?

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

Post Posted: Sun Mar 25, 2007 10:23 am   how do you store Anacharis ?

I just bought 2 clumps of Anacharis yesterday for the first time and I am in the process of changing tanks. Petsmart gave it to me in a bag of water but how do I keep it until they are in the new tank? I don't want to put it all in the old tank. Should I just keep it in the bag. When I do put my turts in the new tank which will be Monday or Tuesday (when the temp is ok) should I just put both of the clumps in there? Thanks for any advice.

You could put them in any clean container along with the water from the pet store until they are ready to go in with the turtles. Just make sure to leave the top open so they can breath and keep them submerged in the water. You can also add some more fresh water if you need to, just make sure the water is not chlorinated and is not too hot or cold. Also, put it near a window where it will get light.

Thanks DavidY will do right now. Should only be until tomorrow I think. Water temp is about 70 right now in the new tank.

When it comes time to put it in your new tank, be sure and wash it real well in case there are snails in it or something.
