Feeding and Nutrition :: Cherry leaves

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

Post Posted: Thu Mar 22, 2007 6:27 pm   Cherry leaves

I have this large cherry tree in the front lawn and was wondering if I cherry leaves are edible for turts... I didn't notice cherries in the Not to Feed section or the What to feed section...
I've seen caterpillars and small animals eat the leaves, but I'm not sure about turtles.

If so, could the turtle eat the blossoms, too? All the cherry trees here are blossoming!

Thanks in advance,

Nice picture. I'd skip the cherry leaves and offer leafy greens that you know are good for your turtle. When cherries are in season, I've given my turtles pieces of them. They like them so-so.
