Feeding and Nutrition :: 1 question

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

When I feed my 2 baby RES, I feed them mostly dried shrimp and pellets. One of my turtles will eat both the dried shrimp and pellets. But my other turtle will not pay attention to the pellets and go straight to the dried shrimp. My question is do the dried shrimp have the same nutritional value as the pellets?

Dried shrimp do not have the same nutritional value as the pellets. Shrimp are a TREAT only.

A very rare treat... I only use it to entice eating and it's been awhile since I had to do that.

The shrimp is higher in protein, and is not formulated to include certain vitamins and minerals like pellets are. What pellets are you giving them?
