lately, one of my RES (Pebbles, 3'') has had a craving for rosies(5 -7in one sitting, one sitting meaning one time every 2 months), my other juggernaut, eat only 2 or 3 every two months, is Pebbles eating too much rosies?

In my opinion, no. Once every month is fine, even once every 3 weeks is good, as long as you don't throw a bunch in at once.
Hey hey hey.

How big are the rosies? They aren't a necessary part of the diet, so you can cut down... but it doesn't sound like a lot. I would try to even out the feedings though :)

ok, they are about 1 1/2 to 3 inches long (petsmarts here don't sell any smaller!)
i buy about 4 a month, and juggernaut eats about 2, and lets 'em grow and she eats the other two, and then about a week later i buy 4 more, it just so happened this time my dad bought 12 and just dumped them in there!

I went to Petco. and they didn't have any fish labeled "Rosies" but simply cheap goldfish anf large feeder fish that were about 12 cents. They seemed to big so I was wondering if it would be OK to buy a regular community fish about 1/2 inch long for 79 cents just to see if he likes fish. Is that OK?

They are called "rosy red minnows," we just call them rosies on the forums. About the fish I'm not sure. You will have to wait for some one else to post.

If you wanted to get feeder guppies you could do that. We just don't recommend goldfish because they are high in fat and can carry a lot of parasites.
