I was wondering if turtles could eat dead mosquiteos because we have one of those mosquito magnets and it would be cheap food.

I wouldn't. Mosquiteos carry things that we don't want, and I don't know how at risk that puts the turtle, but I wouldn't want to attempt it. I doubt that they have much nutritional value, and it would take a lot of them to get any amount worth counting towards a meal.

They can eat mosquito larvae, but adult mosquitoes (especially sp. culex Pipiens, the main vector for West Nile Virus and other encephalitic diseases) are filthy little creatures and should not be offered, dead or alive....

I'm a firm believer in, if you don't know where its been. Don't feed it to them. Bugs from outside come in contact with so many nasty things I wouldn't want my turtle to eat something with all those germs. Plus they could have come in contact with pesticides.
