Like Turkey/Chicken... Is that okay? I have read on other posts that it's bad because of preservatives...

its probably better for your turtle if you buy chicken breast at the grocery store boil it yourself and use it that way. Most sandwich meat has a lot of salt in it as well.

It should only be a treat once a week or so. So you can cook then freeze it and defrost what you need.

"Organic", "Preservative" and all those other terms are often regulated. They are often misleading too. It's not a staple food, and a very rare treat (a few times a year).

The one thing to keep in mind with regard to any meat is it's protein. Too much and it can cause all sorts of problems. So things like cooked meat should be given only as a treat.

Sandwich meat is a no-no.....many yrs ago, I gave some of this to Sheba and she immediately threw up. I never fed it to her again.

If you're really busy, there is nothing easier than throwing some turtle pellets (made for turtles, not humans like sandwich meat is) into the tank. Keep a container within easy reach of your turtle. :)
