My little RES just loves his reptomin sticks and his shrimp pellet treats, if I put lettuce in there he just ignores it completely. I haven't tried crickets or minnows yet. Can ya'll recommend anything good?

Veggies are an important part of their diet. I'd hold back on the pellets and feed just the lettuce. It may take a few days but eventually, he'll start eating it. I would recommend you start with red leaf lettuce; they seem to be attracted to the color.

You could soak pieces of lettuce in tuna juice (marinate it overnight) to get the scent of the tuna on the lettuce. It might make him more interested in it.

Read this thread. It talks about how I got a turtle to eat veggies after 16 yrs of not eating veggies!!! You'll have to read through the whole thread though because I provided updates throughout. Don't worry, the thread isn't too long, but it can give you some ideas!!! :)
