Why does my turtle swim in circles madly when I put him in his feeding tank?...

He's probably excited or trying to beg for food, which is normal for pet turtles.

Since it's a new/strange environment, it sounds like he's afraid and is looking for a place to feel secure. Does he calm down when he sees food?
