I don't give them carrots more than once a week. I shred about 4 baby carrots for the 2 of them to share.

Wow, I've been giving mine a lot less... I'll give him about half a baby carrot at a time, but I give him them more often, about every second veggie day (so once every 4 days?). Should I up the amount and lessen the frequency? (He usually gets carrot with a couple other veggies)

I should have been more specific. My res are both about 6inches so they get more than a smaller turt would. I still wouldn't give more than once a week.

Just wondering... why do you say no more than once a week?

My guys absolutly LOVE when I give them the thin "match stick" carrots. They go crazy for them. So they usually get some 2-3 times a week.

Carrots have both a high content of sugar and oxalic acid that you need to be concerned with. That's why they shouldn't be a staple veggie. In a well balanced diet they should be fine to offer though.

If you offered only a few thin peels at a feeding, you could offer them more than once a week. (A smaller amount more frequently.)
