Feeding and Nutrition :: New RES momma

So i got my baby RES 4 days ago and he was just being fed pellets so i bought some turnip greens and he had a few bites of them. I want to buy him some crickets but is he to small hes only 1 1/2.

It's fine, but might be hard for him to catch. They sell mini crickets that are pre-cooked in a can... that might be a better treat. Remember to make sure he is eating but not overfed.

Hello. What is over feed look like? I was feeding my res 2 times a day. After reading some posts and YouTube videos I am not sure that is correct. How often should I feed a 2 1/2 res and with what? Thank you

Nearly all the pics I see you can see them being overfed. Here's a somewhat mild one: The shell should be smooth and the seams around the scutes should not be that thick. You can also spot a bit of fungus in the picture. I would say the amount of pellets you use should be about 1/2 of 1/3 the size of their head.
