Will be leaving for a month in Feb. and was considering buying the Eheim Everyday Automatic Turtle Feeder (http://www.amazon.com/Eheim-Everyday-Au ... B003I5VS8C)

My RES is about 4 inches long and I have been feeding him every other day for a while now. Since this feeder only works daily, do you guys think it would be okay to switch to every day for a while? I was thinking of setting it to about half of what I feed him daily, so he would still end up getting the same amount of pellets.

Was wondering if this was a good idea or if it could possibly lead to problems or an illness.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance :)

That's what I use daily. Had it for a year now and it works great. I would still have someone check on your place a couple oftimes a week to top off and refill the feeder. As the feeder empties the amount of food that it delivers will vary.

I had that feeder too before my cat knocked it into the tank and fried the motor (not the turtle though thankfully, batteries don't have a lot of volts ;) ). Just be wary that sometimes the feeder won't rotate if the batteries are low, as mine did that for a while. Make sure you got a good charge and that's a swell plan. :D It's a good product.
