Feeding and Nutrition :: diminished appetite

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

I normally feed my slider morning and night. I know that might seem excessive but its only ever a few sticks or pellets, or a small piece of some greens. Recently though she won't eat at night. She still begs and swims at me splashing merrily, but when I show her the food she ignores it.

I was thinking she may be gravid, but I have no way to know. Her shell is grown in a way that its a little tight around the legs(too tight to squeeze my finger in anyway). One day last week I saw her doing a weird dance with her back legs.

Any thoughts? 3 years old. Around 5 inches. I'm a little worried and I want to know if I have cause to be.

When she's begging, is she trying to get your attention or just wanting out of the tank-behavior?

I usually try to feed lettuce/veggies in the morning and a few pellets at night.

Its the same begging she's always done. Maybe she's sick of her food brand.

Or she wants more… they can be relentless beggars.
