Feeding and Nutrition :: Red Eared Slider Wont Stop Eating

He is 10 years old male, and he was recently sick and finished treatment about a week and a half ago, and everytime i go by his tank he splashes water everywhere climbs up against the glass going crazy for food. Should I just ignore that or do i keep feeding him? I thought maybe he knows when he needs to eat, I just don't want him to get fat.

Are you sure he doesn't need the food though?

Maybe you can spread out the his food? Use a pill box to measure it out and don't exceed what's allocated for that day. However, I agree with devilduck... ignore the begging otherwise he will constantly do it.

They do this all the time. Just ignore it. When people come over to my house and go near my turtle's tank he acts like he's starving and they ask me if I feed him. lol. I don't feed him any more than once a day. He's fine.
