Hi there!

My partner and I are leaving for the Christmas holidays for about 3 solid days. We haven't been able to find a sitter since everyone is busy - anybody have any advice on how we make sure our turtles don't go too hungry?

The turtle should be fine with a 3 day fast, just feed them well the day before you leave.

For longer vacations I use this auto feeder: http://www.petco.com/product/119519/EHE ... 1515445115

hello! tried and tested the three day vacation! we left some fishies for the turtle to eat, but she didn't touch them. we also used some timer for the UVB light and heat lamp. :)

3 days without food is fine, just 'over feed' a bit on the day before you leave. I feed my turtles every other day (and occasion, skip 2 days) to keep them on a reduced diet (help the fatty lose weight lol).
