If you take a look at the picture there are flowing leaves in the plastic container. I had the turtles wait in there temporary while I cleaned the tank. After i finished cleaning the tank I found out there were many flowing pieces of vegetable like pieces flowing in the water. I did feed them vegetable the day before this picture was taken. I had a whole piece or two of vegetable for my turtles to eat. But looking back at the pictures, it looks like the vegetable didn't even get digested by the turtles.

I fed them baby "bok choy" by the way. They love it more than the lettuce, maybe the baby bok choy have a rich dark green color whereas the lettuce have a slight green color.

Bok choy is not really recommended. It's possible they ate too much of it.

could have been stuck on the shell or in the arms or legs. but it ALSO could have been in poop, and they ate it, and left the small pieces, HARD to really say.

I'm with steve, bok choy = empty calories. I would try to mix in something else and trick them. that is how i got my girls to eat lettuce, lol

O, I tried to smash my pellets today and they became powder, and when pellets become powder my turtles will not touch them; probably because they can't see them
