Do you just drop in into the tank? Have you tried shredding the carrot into small pieces? Can you try to find something called a veggie clip from a local pet store? It's a plastic clip with a suction cup, usually found in the aquarium section.

You don't need to find a vet if you want your turtle to eat veggies. However, it's a good idea to know the vets in your area... maybe you can try to find a local herp/reptile group for support?

All i can recomend is offer them NOTHING but veggies, mainly lettuce. they will eat it rather then starve sooner or later.

I have worked with some Albanians before, so I know where your country is :)

Your country does have reptiles, maybe you should start a group. Even if it's just online, a collection of useful information and links can help others. Feel free to use any information here.

If you don't have, or can't find a veggie clip, try using a magnetic tank cleaner. It does exactly the same thing.

@halfshell nice. or a plain suction cup for a third option. although the magnets and veggie clips work fine.

The nice thing about the tank cleaner, you can move it around the tank without having to get your hand/arm wet. My guy likes to eat near the bottom, so it's convenient.
