Can I feed my RES canned artichoke hearts if I rinse them completely after opening them? I'm talking maybe one leaf or two off the heart. Anyone out there know?

I know tortoise keepers use fresh artichoke hearts (and or just the leaves from the plants), but not the canned variety.

Are you asking out of curiosity, or use as a temporary treat?
Much easier to buy a bundle of dandelions or red lettuce, rip off some pieces and toss them in instead...
