as far as i know they are safe for turtles to eat, but at the same time they are aggressive. so they may attack the turtle, turtle might attack it, might ignore each other

i had a friend that had a cichlid that survived for a long time with a turtle. the aggressive nature is part of it. but like anything if it can be put in the turtles mouth it will eventually.
