Feeding and Nutrition :: Here's my feeding plan, is it ok?

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

Post Posted: Tue Mar 02, 2010 10:14 pm   Here's my feeding plan, is it ok?

Here's how I plan on feeding my future RES.

First off, I'll take him/her (probably him) out of his regular tank and into a feeder tank to feed him.

Every day, I'll give him some pellets. Then once every two weeks, I'll give him feeder fish (goldfish or guppies) and then sometimes I might take him out of his tank and let him roam the yard just in case he gets herbivorous. Then, during the summer, I'll also feed him some bugs.

Also, anything else i should know?

Goldfish are fatty and low in nutrients
RES: Turtley - about 9" (She makes it a mission to measure her. :/)
Musk: Bolt - 4.5"
Mutt: Gaviota - small

You should give more fish and less pellet. Plus, an aquatic turtle won't eat out of the water, plus you could have toxic plants/grass in your backyard, and los of pesticide.
