I have seen lots of posts regarding dipping food in tuna? do turtles love tuna or something? and is it allright to drop like a little chunk of dry or moist tuna in the tank?

Tuna is usually used to entice eating. Tuna is smelly and turtles usually get
attracted to the smell. Actually, it's not the tuna itself. To coax a turtle to eat
pellets, we soak the pellets in tuna water from canned tuna.

As long as the tuna is soaked in water and not oil, it should be alright to give tuna
to a turtle as a treat.

And you might want to do it in a separate container. Tuna gets pretty messy.
