I was wondering if Kale is okay to feed my RES??
He loves it and I wanted to make sure it was okay after reading the post about what "TO" feed your RES. I didn't see Kale in the list.
Thanks!

I think yours is the first RES I've ever heard of that likes kale. My turts were turned off by the curly edges (which were not tender) and never took to it. As part of the diet, rotated with other greens, it's OK, but I wouldn't make it the only or even main green that that he gets. If you haven't, try dandelion greens as well.

Too funny! I didn't know that! I think my little guy is a pig! HAHA! He loves food so I had to really limit him. I know that they like to eat even when they aren't hungry so I have to watch with him. I talked to our local pet store and the lady that works there has a 16 year old RES. She said it has lived off of pellets, shrimp, and the cuttle bone! She told me not to worry too much about greens at all. I guess hers is living proof! LOL!
