okay so i have had a turtle that was store bought and he is doing fine but today i found a little baby wild turtle which is a red ear just like the one i had already. i put it in the same tank as my red ear and they seem to be getting along fine. however there is one problem that i have run into and that is i cannot get the baby turtle to eat what my red ear slider eats. if anyone can help one how i can this little guy to eat i would very greatful. thanks

the little guy can make your other turtle sick . So you might want to take him back to his home .

Haha yeah I was thinkng the same thing. I just wanted to see hownthey reacted together. Thanks for the advice though. Yeah I'm going to let him go at the nearest park.

Make sure the turtle is native to your state first. If hes not keep him or do somthing but do not let him go.

You should also try feeding them separately so the new turtle actually has time to eat. It might not recognize its food right away, but it eventually will. Otherwise your other turtle will eat all the food before the little one can.

I had kind of the same scenario, but you can feed the wild one veggies. Mine went for them right away.

Wild turtles would be more attuned to live foods---insects, worms, for example.
