One of my turtles begs all the time. All the time. It's 2.5 inches and loves basking. He also likes pellets much more than veggies. My question is, is it normal for this turtle (Black Sun) to eat his own poop?

its normal. every turtle does it for the most part. and every turtle begs like they are starving. the hard part is not giving in when they beg.

Thank you! I feel reassured that it's normal. I still think it's kinda gross, though xD

Congratulations you have normal turtles.

I've never seen mine do that so far, but I don't watch them every minute of every day so... yeah...

If a dog will eat it's own vomit, I'm sure a turtle will eat it's own poop.
