I got my turtles some fruity cuttlebone yesterday. It isn't that fruity by the way. I tasted it.
Well the have eaten 3/4 of it in about 12 hours. Should I be worried? They are still active. They cant stop chomping on it though. For 3' and 4' turtles they are hungry.

From my experience, if I gave my turtle a whole cuttlebone, he'd go through the whole thing within a day. But he just likes putting things in his mouth and biting things. So I have never put in a whole cuttlebone, just pieces. My little guy is the definition of always hungry ...

I'm in the same boat as Jax. There is no limit to what they will eat and when so everything needs to be portioned out.

LOL! I have to admit, I've thought about tasting it too :lol:
I break mine into head sized chunks, then I give them one chunk at a time, every couple of days or so, depending on how fast they go through it.
